Newspaper
Make sure that you recycle newspapers and magazines. This saves almost 80% of the energy used to make paper from new raw materials. It can take as little as a week to recycle used newsprint into new!
- Also consider sharing, or reading in libraries.
- Use as draughtproofing under carpets, and scrunched in compost heaps.
- If you have an open fire, buy a log maker to make old newspapers into briquettes. You can buy these through The Natural Collection.
- See also The Logmaker website
Tip: make newspaper seed pots

Sorry, but no. Surely newsagents return unsold newsprint to the manufacturers, don't they?
